NCAA Remote Pilot Certificate (VLOS) Issued 

This is the primary commercial drone pilot qualification in Nigeria. Successful completion results in the issuance of an NCAA Remote Pilot Certificate for VLOS operations — the licence required to operate a drone commercially and legally in Nigeria. The 15-day programme covers the full NCAA syllabus and combines intensive theoretical knowledge with simulator and live flight training. A Third-Class Aviation Medical Certificate from an NCAA-authorised examiner is required before commencement.

CARs; Air law & Nigerian airspace regulations; Meteorology & weather assessment; Navigation & flight planning; Human factors & crew resource management (CRM); Radio communication procedures; Emergency procedures & incident management; Intensive simulator training sessions; Live VLOS flight exercises with direct instructor feedback; Night operations module (optional)

Application & Enrolment Process

  1. Download the application form from the website or  Apply Online
  2. Complete all sections of the form — incomplete applications will delay the enrolment process 
  3. Attach required documents: government-issued ID, educational certificates, passport photograph 
  4. For VLOS and BVLOS: obtain a Third-Class Aviation Medical Certificate from an NCAA-authorised examiner before the course start date 
  5. Submit to admissions@arcoaviationacademy.ng or in person at the Admissions Office, Port Harcourt 
  6. Applications are screened for eligibility — course fees and intake date confirmation will be shared after screening
